You Can Choose

Aviators in the Sunshine

Choose joy.

Choose light.

Choose your attitude.

My mom always said, "Bloom where you are planted. Sometimes we don't feel like we are "blooming."

Often we are like the dormant ranch flowers. Don't think just because you're not blooming you're not growing!

The sunshine makes me long for Spring on the ranch. We are supposed to have 70 degree weather today before another cold, rainy week sets in. We need these rains on our thirsty pastures. We need them to blow in and soak the ground, to give the land what it needs to thrive in Springtime.

You and I need the rains too.

We need the rains to teach us perseverance and patience and empathy for the struggles of others. We need to choose joy in the midst of heartache and to choose a good attitude when the storms of life blow in. This is what we call "character."

We are stronger than we often think we are inside.

Everything has its season. We learn to weather the storms and still smile. We choose to be the light.

Choose to have a great day, my friend, and bloom where you are planted.

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
after you have suffered a little while, Will himself restore you
and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 2 Peter 5:10

Have a great day!
